Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to ( P)the Father of spirits and live? 10 For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, ( Q)that we may be partakers of His holiness. 9 Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him Ħ For ( L) whom the Lord loves He chastens,Īnd scourges every son whom He receives.”ħ ( M)If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons for what ( N)son is there whom a father does not chasten? 8 But if you are without chastening, ( O)of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons. ( K) “My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord , 14 For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that ( G)if One died for all, then all died 15 and He died for all, ( H)that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again. 13 For ( F)if we are beside ourselves, it is for God or if we are of sound mind, it is for you.
